Pokemon fans have been awaited updates on major upcoming games in the series for quite a long time, with their announcements earlier this year having been followed by unusual and prolonged silence, but it looks like that wait is finally over.
The Pokemon Company has announced that a new Pokemon Presents presentation is going to take place next Wednesday, August 18, at 6 AM PDT. The video presentation will, at long last, include new updates on Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, as well as Pokemon Legends: Arceus.
Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are long-awaited remakes of the Gen 4 titles. Developed by ILCA (with series producer producer Junichi Masuda co-directing), they are the first mainline Pokemon games ever to not be developed by Game Freak. Game Freak, meanwhile, is working on the open world title Pokemon Legends: Arceus, which represents perhaps the biggest break in formula this series has ever seen.
Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are due out on November 19, while Pokemon Legends: Arceus will follow a little over two months later, on January 28.
