But nothing happened!

Nintendo really is getting in bed with Apple. When they took the stage at Apple’s iPhone 7 event earlier this month, the big announcement was that they would be bringing Super Mario to iPhones via Super Mario Run– and to go along with that, they would also be releasing a Super Mario sticker pack for Apple’s newly revamped iMessage.

But Mario won’t be the only Nintendo property getting representation on iMessage, it sounds like. The Pokemon Company also appear to have stealthily released a sticker pack for iMessage, with classic generation 1 sprites (so from Pokemon RedBlue, and Yellow) on offer. The sticker pack costs $2, and for many Pokemon fans (including yours truly), is but an obvious purchase.

If you want more Pokemon on your iPhone, you can always download Pokemon GO, which is available on Android too. If you would rather get your hands on a core Pokemon game, then Pokemon Sun/Moon are launching exclusively on the Nintendo 3DS later this year.
