Pokemon Sun and Moon 3

Following a strong critical reception, Nintendo has announced that it shipped more than 10 million units of Pokemon Sun and Moon to retailers on the day of its launch. The latest in the Pokemon series releases on November 18th for the Nintendo 3DS.

Famitsu noted that this shipment was actually 1.5 times more than that of Pokemon X and Y, currently standing as the best-selling 3DS game ever at 15.64 million units sold. Pokemon Sun and Moon could very well surpass that, especially given the number of changes and new additions to the game (like four player Pokemon battles). If that weren’t enough, both pre-orders and demo downloads set new records for Nintendo.

What are your thoughts on Pokemon Sun and Moon, especially in the wake of Pokemon GO’s success? Could it potentially set new records for Nintendo? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more information in the coming weeks.
