PS4 Is Only Console To See Sales Trend Upwards In UK For 2016

Just how much more successful has the Sony PS4 been than the Xbox One and the Wii U? A new report by MCV shows the PS4 is the only console that has posted a positive year over year sales number at this point in 2016.

The website reports Sony is seeing a rise in sales of 6.7 percent compared to 2015  which is certainly an achievement when comparing it to sales of the Xbox One and Wii U which have trended downward. Microsoft has seen sales of its current generation console fall by as much as 15.8 percent in the UK. Even worst news is revenue generated by the Xbox One is down more than 27 percent over the previous year.

While console unit sales are up, Sony isn’t charging as much for them. This has led to a revenue drop of 10.4 percent. It’s a safe bet those numbers will head upwards once the PS4 Neo finally launches.
