Though it was only initially speculated, it appears there may be solid backing to the reveal of the PlayStation 4 Slim at the upcoming PlayStation Meeting.
According to sources who spoke to The Wall Street Journey, Sony will be looking to “introduce a new PlayStation 4 standard model alongside a high-end version next month.” This would indicate that the PlayStation 4 Neo, which has been confirmed by Sony, is the new high-end version while the new “standard model” is the PS4 Slim.
This might also fit in with recent leaked images that apparently showcase the design for the PS4 Slim in all its glory. Again, this is all rumour and unnamed sources so take it with a grain of salt. Nonetheless, things are certainly becoming more interesting as we head into the PlayStation Meeting schedule for September 7th.
