Speculation is running rampant about everything from Halo Infinite, Starfield, and Forza Horizon 5 to Arkane’s Omen, Avowed, and The Outer Wilds 2 making an appearance at Microsoft’s E3 show in less than a couple of weeks. That it’s going to be a packed event seems almost like a given at this point- and another game that is seemingly likely to take the stage is Psychonauts 2.
In a recently published article, Windows Central’s Jez Corden wrote that Double Fine Productions’ highly anticipated platformer is going to have showcase at the Xbox show on June 13. Double Fine has given assurances on multiple occasions that Psychonauts 2 is definitely coming out this year, so a gameplay showing at E3 looks like a pretty safe bet. Probably a release date will be announced as well, though that’s just speculation for now.
Meanwhile, Corden also writes in his article that Psychonauts 2 “may be beefier than many are probably expecting.” It remains to be seen exactly how that’s going to be the case, but we’re curious to find out.
Whenever it launches, Psychonauts 2 will be available on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Stay tuned for more updates.
