Quantum Break Gameplay Showcased for Xbox One at E3 2013

To release alongside TV show of the same name.

Creative director of Remedy Entertainment Sam Lake took the stage at Microsoft’s E3 press conference to showcase the studio’s upcoming exclusive Quantum Break.

The game will involve temporal malfunctions or something to that effect, which sees time slow down and freeze altogether. The trailer at E3 2013 showed the protagonist Jack trying to rescue an informant of his in 60 seconds before being killed by a frozen explosion.

Just roll with it for now.

Jack can apparently talk to people during these “frozen” moments as long as he’s touching them. And yes, he does manage to save his informant in time.

Oddly enough the game will be run alongside a TV show of the same, which will help inform players of their motivation and provide a more personalized version of the story. Cue obligatory cries of the Xbox One doing nothing but TV. But seriously, at this point, it’s been going far better than we expected. Stay tuned for more.
