RAGE 2 Launch Trailer Takes You All The Way Back To… The Big Bang?

When they say all the way back, they really mean it.

RAGE 2 has already established that it’s going to be full of some weird yet effective (or so we hope) humour. Its launch trailer, released recently by Bethesda in light of its looming release, doubles down on that brand of humour. Take a look below.

It starts with a good old freeze frame plus record scratch combo, and the narrator telling you that to clue you in on how he got into this mess, he’s going to have to take you all the way back to how is started. Except, when he says “all the way back”, he means all the way back. Just… just watch it.

Of course, beyond the weirdness, there’s plenty of action to look at as well. The bombastic, chaotic action with the game’s shooting and abilities that we’ve been seeing so much of is in full display, while we also get glimpses of several locations and characters from the game. Suffice it to say, it’s looking pretty sharp.

RAGE 2 launches on May 14 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC, and reviews for the game start going live a day before that. If you’re thinking of pre-ordering it, make sure to check out this trailer to find out what pre-order bonuses you’ll be in for.
