RAGE 2

Yesterday, Ubisoft dropped some new gameplay and story trailers for Far Cry New Dawn. Of course, ever since the game’s announcement, there’s been some comparison to another post-apocalyptic first person shooter with lots of pink. We’re talking about id Software’s RAGE 2, which is set to release this May. And it seems the similarities couldn’t escape the latter’s notice any longer.

The official Twitter for RAGE 2 recently tweeted about pink being “all the RAGE“, and subsequently attached a photo with the name “RAGE 2 NEWER DAWN”. This is obviously a not-so-serious shot at Far Cry New Dawn, so don’t worry about the gauntlet being thrown down. New gameplay coverage of RAGE 2 was promised for next week as well, so we get to see just how it’s shaping up.

Far Cry New Dawn is out on February 15th for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. It takes a “light RPG” approach with the series’ signature gunplay and open world exploration. RAGE 2 is also open world, but throws in a bunch of crazy abilities and guns to go with it. It’s out on May 14th for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
