Red Dead Online Beta Gets New Gear, Mode, and Ability Cards Boost

After having continuously updated the Red Dead Online beta with several new modes and events over the last few weeks, Rockstar is continuing to do so even now, having now added another new in the form of new Showdown mode, “Up in Smoke”. The new mode sees two opposing teams rushing to destroy the other’s base with explosive packages. The team that delivers and detonates the packages first wins the match.

Along with the new mode, a new featured bonus this week is that ability cards get a 30% EXP bonus. Ability cards come in the form of Dead Eye and Passive cards. Dead Eye cards grant special advantages while the Dead Eye ability is active, and Passive have background Combat, Recovery, and Defensive affects. Each card has three tiers, so the XP boost can go a long way. New gear in the form of a Winter Shotgun Coat, Benbow Jacket, Darned Stockings, and a Manteca Hat will be added to the Wheeler, Rawson and Co. Catalogue in the new update as well.

This follows a large February patch for Red Dead Online and continued promise of new content for the service.
