Rockstar Games has released a new update for Red Dead Online, its multiplayer component for Red Dead Redemption 2. The Fool’s Gold free roam event is finally live, and you can also pick up the new Evans Repeater rifle as well. The update follows up on last week’s patch, which brought daily challenges, Bounty Hunters, quality of life changes, and bug fixes.
As for Fool’s Gold, it’s essentially a competitive mode where players battle over a suit of Golden Armor. Don the armour yourself and earn points by killing others. Both solo players and posses can join in the event. Fool’s Gold can be accessed via the free roam playlist alongside events like Cold Dead Hands, Master Archer, and so on. As for the Evans Repeater, if you want it in your arsenal, visit a gunsmith, or pick it up through the Rawson, Wheeler & Co catalogue.
If you happen to play Red Dead Online all through the week, then a special reward will be doled out to you. It contains 60 rounds each of high velocity pistol ammo and high velocity repeater, eight fire arrows, two fire bottles, and more. Pick it up in your camp’s lockbox or via the nearby post office.
