Red Dead Online_Frontier Pursuits

It’s prime season for game releases but Rockstar Games has a hefty update incoming for Red Dead Online, the multiplayer component of Red Dead Redemption 2. Frontier Pursuits is out on September 10th and adds three new Specialist roles – Bounty Hunter, Collector and Trader. These will each bring new pursuits that will offer new skills and unique items to unlock along with Cash and Gold rewards.

Leveling up these roles is very straightforward. Hunting bounties will provide XP towards the Bounty Hunter while finding collectibles goes towards the Collector role. Each role has 20 ranks to progress through and are divided into four tiers – Novice, Promising, Established and Distinguished – with new skills, like increased carrying capacity or role-exclusive Free Roam events added.

It’s fairly in-depth and should help provide more distinction as players traverse the Wild West. Other new additions with the update include faster movement along with more responsive combat. New Ability Cards, Daily Role Challenges, Dynamic Events and so on are also being added. The option to edit one’s appearance – as opposed to starting a new character – is also coming. Stay tuned for official patch notes when the update goes live.
