JOHN MARSTON’S THEME
Red Dead Redemption 2’s lengthy and deliberately paced epilogue culminates with one of the best missions in the entire game, as John, Charles, and Sadie track down Micah in order to gun him down. The moment John realizes that he’s going to have to go through the final stretch on his own is one that fans of the first game would surely have loved, because not only is it an awesome moment, the music that kicks in is also an amazing, blaring remix of Marston’s theme from the first game. It’s fitting, too, because that is John’s moment. As he climbs up the mountain, single-handedly mowing down Micah’s men to avenge Arthur’s death, he becomes the badass, lone wolf gunslinger that we all knew and loved in Red Dead Redemption 1.
