Update: The official summary of the story has been revealed by Rockstar. Check it out below:

“America, 1899. The end of the wild west era has begun as lawmen hunt down the last remaining outlaw gangs. Those who will not surrender or succumb are killed. After a robbery goes badly wrong in the western town of Blackwater, Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang are forced to flee.

“With federal agents and the best bounty hunters in the nation massing on their heels, the gang must rob, steal and fight their way across the rugged heartland of America in order to survive. As deepening internal divisions threaten to tear the gang apart, Arthur must make a choice between his own ideals and loyalty to the gang who raised him.”

A new trailer has dropped for Red Dead Redemption 2, Rockstar’s highly anticipated sequel to the open world blockbuster. This one focuses on The Dutch Gang led by Dutch van der Linde and all is not well. The Wild West is still very much untamed, gunslingers are still running around and the gang is making bank. But how long can it last? Check out the trailer below.

The trailer showcases train robberies, shootouts on horses, bank robberies and some very good looking facial animation for its characters. As usual, the voice acting is top-notch and the story, which seems to indicate dissent in the gang, is highly intriguing. Based on the short bits seen, melee combat also seems to have improved and we couldn’t be more thankful.

Red Dead Redemption 2 will be releasing on October 26th for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 after several delays. More information will likely be coming soon so stay tuned for updates.
