Rockstar Games’ Red Dead Redemption 2 will be receiving a new trailer later this week. It will arrive at exactly 8 AM PST/11 AM EST on May 2nd. This will be the first major new showing of the game since the recent leak, which alleged that a Battle Royale mode was coming.
What we do know is that Red Dead Redemption 2 is a prequel to the first game, following Arthur Morgan and the early adventures of the Van der Linde gang. You’ll probably remember them from when John Marston had to hunt down Dutch Van der Linde. The latter is rumoured to play a large role in the prequel.
Though we’ve seen a few gameplay snippets here and there including new screenshots and whatnot, Rockstar has been fairly tight-lipped on the exact activities in the game. For that matter, it hasn’t confirmed how big the world will be either. The leaked report from February has stated that elements like player housing, a more reactive world, multiple directions for the story and so on will be present.
Will any of that emerge in the coming trailer? We’ll have to wait till Thursday to find out. Meanwhile, Red Dead Redemption 2 will be releasing on October 28th for Xbox One and PS4. Still no sign of a PC release.
