When Redfall launches in less than a month’s time, it will allow players to play as one of four characters, each of whom are getting dedicated trailers in the lead-up to the open world shooter’s launch. Last week, developer Arkane put the spotlight on Layla Ellison and her telekinetic abilities, and now, a newly released trailer (courtesy of IGN) focuses on Jacob Boywer, his backstories, and the unique powers he will bring to the table.

Jacob, a private military contractor, was sent on a job to the island town of Redfall, but during the job, he and his squad were attacked by vampires. His squad was butchered, and when he woke, he found himself with mysterious new eye, and a psychic raven that constantly follows around.

In terms of gameplay, as a former covert Special Forces operative, Jacob specializes in stealth. He has the ability to temporarily turn himself invisible to sneak past enemies, while the mysterious raven that constantly accompanies him can also prove itself useful in combat. Check out the trailer below for more details.

Redfall is set to launch on May 2 for Xbox Series X/S and PC. Recently released gameplay also showed off an intense battle against the supremely powerful vampire type known as the Rook- check it out through here.
