Arkane has revealed that its upcoming co-op shooter Redfall will feature cross-platform multiplayer across all versions of the game.
Responding to a question on Twitter, the studio revealed that Redfall will allow players to play with their friends, regardless of if they’re on Steam, PC Game Pass, Xbox, or Epic Game Store.
“You can definitely play with your friends on Steam,” said Arkane in the tweet. “You join your friends wherever they are.”
The question was asked as part of a recent Q&A session the studio had with its community over Discord. A variety of questions were answered, ranging from how enemy difficulty scaling would work for co-op, to weapon variety, to cosmetic character customization.
Redfall is slated to come out on Xbox Series X/S and PC on May 2. The co-op shooter has been seeing quite a few details about it being released leading up to its release. Xbox head Phil Spencer has even referred to the game, alongside Starfield, as being “really important” as first-party releases for Game Pass.
