Reports speculate a THQ purchase by Marvel

Posted By | On 18th, Apr. 2012

With THQ’s situation seeming more desperate than ever and their future hanging in the balance, speculations about a buy-out by Marvel have surfaced.

Rich Johnston of comic website Bleeding Cool pieces together from recent dealings between Marvel, Disney (Marvel is owned wholly by Disney now) and THQ, that Marvel might buy THQ and make the development of all video games in-house.

It’s certainly a believable scenario, but it seems a little hard to imagine. THQ’s fate has been hanging in the balance for a long time now- maybe something like this just seems too good to be true.

Either way, these are just speculations, and I’d take this all with a grain of salt. It’s food for though, but that’s all it is. We’ll keep you updated though, so stay tuned.

Thanks, Kotaku!
