The supporting character packs quite the punch.

While the world is in the midst of an actual virus pandemic, next month we’ll go into the past with maybe the most famous digital (and thankfully very fake) outbreak in gaming in the remake of Resident Evil 3. The game will see a much expanded version of Raccoon City as protagonist Jill Valentine battles her way through hordes of horrors. She’s not alone, though, as the game features a supporting cast of various characters. The one playing the biggest role is Carlos, who will be playable in at least one section.

In the latest issue of Game Informer, Carlos’ playable section is detailed. As mentioned before, his role in the game has been expanded, and it seems that applies here as well. His section will include more puzzles, as well as a much larger area to explore compared to the original game. He’ll also pack a lot of punch, as executing a perfect dodge with Carlos will result in a powerful haymaker to knock enemies down. It’s not specified whether there will only be one part where Carlos is playable, like the 1999 original, or if there will be multiple this go around but at least this portion seems to have been expanded a good deal.

Resident Evil 3 will release on April 3rd for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. A demo will release for all versions tomorrow.
