Capcom’s Resident Evil 3 is one of the bigger releases of the year, serving as a remake to the 1999 PS One classic. While the development team has been doling out all kinds of new details and gameplay footage for fans, its latest “Raccoon City Incident Report” video is meant for newcomers. It essentially covers the events leading up to Resident Evil 3 and the downfall of Raccoon City in just five minutes.
Events from Resident Evil 0, Resident Evil, and Resident Evil 2 are covered, so be warned of spoilers. The story takes place before Resident Evil 2 though and sees S.T.A.R.S. member Jill Valentine attempting to escape the city while dealing with Umbrella’s new Nemesis bio-weapon. Jill is joined by mercenary Carlos Oliveria who works with the Umbrella Biohazard Countermeasure Service.
Resident Evil 3 releases on April 3rd for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. A demo will be going live tomorrow for all platforms, offering a look at the action and mechanics so stay tuned. Resident Evil Resistance, the asymmetrical multiplayer mode included with Resident Evil 3, will also have a beta going live next week.
