Capcom’s Resident Evil 4 Remake is only two days away from release, but pre-loads are finally available for PS4 and PS5. The PS4 version is 30.938 GB in size, and the PS5 version is 58.038 GB. These likely include the day one patch, if the version numbers are anything go by.

Pre-loads are already available on Xbox Series X/S, with about 67 GB of storage space required. The remake is based on Capcom’s 2005 survival horror shooter, which redefined the series for years. It sees Leon S. Kennedy venturing to a fictitious village in Spain to rescue Ashley, the president’s kidnapped daughter.

Unfortunately, the village is occupied by the Los Illuminados cult, with several of the villagers having Las Plagas parasites embedded. Instead of conserving ammo like in previous entries, players are encouraged to confront foes head-on, scoring headshots and melee hits. The remake expands on this further with parrying, moving while aiming, and being able to carry multiple knives.

Resident Evil 4 Remake releases on March 24th for Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC. Head here for our review and check out the charming parody animation series.
