Resident Evil 4 Remake

Resident Evil 4 Remake has a lot of different weapons to unlock, each with multiple upgrades. It can get overwhelming, especially when you must pay to level them. Fortunately, there are several ways to earn money or Pesetas. Let’s take a closer look at all of them.

Breaking Crates and Looting Corpses

Break every single crate that you come across. They could have ammo but also contain items which can be sold later. The same goes for the corpses of enemies – ensure you’re always looting them.

Shoot Crows

Cruel as it sounds, shooting crows is a sound way to earn Pesetas, ammo and crafting materials. You can use the Bolt Thrower since it’s strong enough to one-shot them, and the bolts are recoverable. Alternatively, throw a Flash Grenade to take several out at once.

Treasure Maps

The Merchant carries Treasure Maps for each area, highlighting all the valuables. Complete the blue note requests, like shooting the Blue Medallions or killing the rats, and you’ll receive Spinels to trade for the Treasure Map.

Exploration and Luxury Boxes

Investigate environments thoroughly, as Pesetas are found on various furniture. You’ll also come across luxury boxes, offering a hefty sum of Pesetas.

Sell Trinkets

Any items that say “for selling only” can be sold immediately. So if you find any pearl necklaces, sell them for some quick cash.

Combine Gemstones with Treasures

Hang on to gemstones which can be combined with treasures. When inserted into the treasures, the selling price is higher. There’s a quick cheat sheet providing the best combinations of Gemstones to insert into treasures for the highest bonus to Pesetas earned. They are as follows:

  • Two Gemstones of Different Colors – 1.1x bonus
  • Two Gemstones of the Same Color – 1.2x bonus
  • Three Gemstones of Different Colors – 1.3x bonus
  • Three Gemstones of the Same Color – 1.4x bonus
  • Two Duos (Two Pairs of Blue and Red, for example) – 1.5x bonus
  • Four Gemstones of Different Colors – 1.6x bonus
  • Four Gemstones of the Same Color – 1.7x bonus
  • A Duo and Trio of Different Colored Gemstones – 1.8x bonus
  • Five Gemstones of the Same Color – 1.9x bonus
  • Five Gemstones of Different Colors – 2x bonus

Sell Weapons

Over time, you’ll earn weapons flat-out better than your current arsenal. Don’t fret – sell your older weapons. You’ll get a good chunk of the investment, which goes into your new weapons.

Sell Vipers, Chicken Eggs and Healing Sprays

Dead Vipers and Chicken Eggs can be very useful when you don’t have any healing items. There are times when you’re low on health when more Vipers spawn, giving you some chance for health recovery. You can keep killing these Vipers and selling them off for more Pesetas, but that can get tedious.

So instead, sell whichever ones you find and kill. The same goes with the Chicken Eggs and even Healing Sprays. Don’t do this if there are few healing items left, but it’s a good way to make some quick cash if you’re cruising through the game.
