Resident Evil 4 Remake’s The Mercenaries mode has now gone live for some players, as pointed out by @AestheticGamer1 on Twitter, but apparently, it doesn’t include all the characters and stages that previous datamines had suggested it would include.

The mode currently features four playable characters with Leon and newcomer Luis Serra being unlocked from the beginning, and Krauser and Hunk being the two additional unlockable characters, while there are also three stages to play in. Previously, leaks suggested that the mode would feature six characters and four stages.

According to @AestheticGamer1, however, the seemingly missing content is still coming down the line. The leaker claims Capcom has an update in the pipeline for The Mercenaries that will add Ada Wong and Albert Wesker as playable characters, while another stage and a new “Extreme” mode will also be added.

Meanwhile, Ada Wong with her costume from the original game and another variant of Leon will also allegedly be added. The update will allegedly arrive close to the rumoured Separate Ways DLC, which will star Ada Wong, and has also been previously datamined.

Resident Evil 4 Remake is available now on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, and PC.
