Resident Evil 4’s remake is easily one of the best games to have been released this year so far (which is saying a lot, given how many excellent games we’ve played in 2023), and soon, it’s getting new content for players to dive into. A paid expansion, Separate Ways, was announced recently, and ahead of its imminent release, Capcom has revealed a launch trailer for it.

Separate Ways, much like the original game’s similarly titled additional episode, is focused on Ada Wong, starring her as the playable protagonist, and telling her side of the story. While Leon is looking for Ashley and attempting to rescue her, Ada, sent in by the enigmatic Albert Wesker, works with Luis Serra to recover the Amber, all while running into plenty of problems of her own. The trailer showcases glimpses of what her story will have in store, and what players can expect from the expansion’s new gameplay elements. Check it out below.

Resident Evil 4: Separate Ways launches on September 21 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, and PC. Meanwhile, Resident Evil 4 will also be getting a PS VR2-exclusive VR Mode this Winter. You can read our review of the base game through here.
