Cross-save support courtesy of Xbox Play Anywhere has been a thing with Xbox One titles for a while now. And while purchasing a copy of Resident Evil 7: biohazard on either Windows 10 or Xbox One won’t give you a free digital copy on the other platform, it’s still possible to transfer save.
Dengeki noted that the Windows Store version will share save data with the Xbox One version and IGN later revealed that Capcom confirmed cross-save functionality in a statement. It would be interesting if Play Anywhere was also implemented just as an incentive for Xbox One/Windows 10 players. After all, Resident Evil 7 will be releasing its VR mode exclusively on PlayStation VR for the first year.
Resident Evil 7: biohazard is out on January 24th 2017 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. What are your thoughts on the game thus far and will you be picking it up? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more information.
