Resident Evil 7 Receiving Free “Not A Hero” DLC in Spring

Capcom Japan confirmed on Twitter.

Capcom’s Resident Evil 7 will have a play-time of some 9 to 10 hours but there’s plenty of post-launch content coming via the Season Pass. However, there will also be some free DLC releasing this Spring.

According to Capcom Japan on Twitter, the DLC is called “Not A Hero” and will release in Spring 2017. Interestingly, it also mentions that Ethan’s “nightmare” (which lines up with the name of a different DLC episode) will be “a short scenario with different tastes.” It’s unclear how this is related to “Not A Hero”.

Regardless, free DLC is never a bad thing and hopefully this will entice players into picking up the Season Pass if the content is good enough. Currently, the Season Pass can only be acquired with Resident Evil 7 but expect it to be priced separately soon.

Resident Evil 7 is out on January 24th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC with a PlayStation VR launch also coming.
