Capcom promised more details for Resident Evil Requiem in the coming months and the first playable build at Gamescom in August. However, it seems that media impressions will go live today alongside new images. A Reddit user recently leaked the same, showcasing newcomer Grace Ashcroft roaming what could be the Wrenwood Hotel.

The monster at the end of the reveal trailer is more explicitly visible, but what’s more interesting are the user’s impressions. They allegedly played a 30-minute-long demo, and you could play in either first or third-person throughout the game. Healing spray is also reportedly not included, but Grace can use syringes to heal.

The development also apparently hinted at a second playable character who was “familiar” and had “a bunch of weapons.” Whether this is Leon S. Kennedy, as rumors continually assert, remains to be seen. Stay tuned for more updates later today.

Resident Evil Requiem launches on February 27th, 2026, for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. Capcom touts this as a “new era of survival horror,” with RE Engine capable of “lifelike facial expressions” and “high-fidelity sweat droplets.”
