Resident Evil Requiem’s PC Requirements Are Surprisingly Manageable, But Windows 11 is Mandatory

The decision follows Capcom's controversial decision to end Windows 10 support for Monster Hunter Wilds' future updates.

Resident Evil Requiem

With pre-orders now live and a dedicated showcase promised for early next year, Resident Evil Requiem is building momentum for its impending launch. Capcom also stealthily updated the game’s Steam page to include Minimum and Recommended requirements for PC players, and they’re firmly in the realm of “not too shabby.”

At the very minimum, you’ll need an Intel Core i5-8500 or an AMD Ryzen 5 3500, 16 GB of RAM and a GeForce GTX 1660 6 GB or a Radeon RX 5500 XT 8 GB. Recommended requirements include a Core i7-8700 or a Ryzen 5 5500, 16 GB RAM and either an RTX 2060 Super 8 GB or a Radeon RX 6600 8 GB. Installation space isn’t mentioned, which makes sense since development is ongoing.

The biggest red flag, however, is that Windows 11 (64-bit) is mandatory. Microsoft officially stopped security updates for the operating system on October 14th, prompting Capcom to announce the end of Monster Hunter Wilds‘ support for Windows 10 last month. The decision wasn’t met with much positivity, but even if you enrolled in the Extended Security Updates program, you probably won’t be able to play future Capcom titles on PC.

Resident Evil Requiem arrives on February 27th, 2026, for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC.
