Resident Evil Village

Lei will become your best friend in Resident Evil Village but you’ll need quite a lot of it for all of the supplies, ammo and weapon upgrades. Some of the easiest methods for obtaining Lei include killing enemies and looting their corpses along with breaking boxes, jars, vases and whatnot in each location. When you obtain the crank, you should also use it to check inside Wells for Lei.

As time goes by, however, it becomes obvious that selling treasure is the best way to obtain Lei. For more details on locating all of the treasures in the game, check out our guide here. Enemies also tend to drop Crystal Skulls so keep an eye out for those and make regular stop-overs to The Duke to sell them. Inspect your surroundings as well for glowing spots – shooting these can drop Crystal Fragments which are also valuable.

It’s also worth selling your older weapons to The Duke for some cash. Higher upgrade tiers for some of the starting weapons require quite a bit of Lei. However, the upside is that the upgraded weapons become much more valuable in the process. Since you’ll obtain better weapons down the line anyway, it’s recommended to sell off older guns whenever possible.

As a side note, if you want to complete certain Challenges which require obtaining a certain amount of Lei, don’t sweat about replaying the game multiple times. Instead, as The ReckfuL points out in the video below, simply sell of your items to The Duke, then quit and reload the save. Repeat this process until you reach the total amount specified in the challenge.
