Rise of the Ronin

Team Ninja’s Rise of the Ronin gets a new update later this week that will add new features and fresh content. As revealed on the PlayStation Blog, there will be five new Ally Missions, two new Set Bonuses on Midnight difficulty, and training partners in the Dojo.

Those who replay the world at Midnight difficulty can also cause Public Order to “deteriorate,” which seemingly means resetting enemy camps, fights with Fugitives and more. If you want to test your end-game build against more challenging opponents, this is one way. You can also enable level sync in Testament of the Soul missions.

Some gameplay adjustments include having six Combat Styles available if both your weapon types are the same. Even if the player chooses not to confess, you’ll receive special equipment, and some meetings with characters will return to normal when some time has passed after a breakup. Selecting asynchronous characters is also getting easier, and there’s also the addition of a Martial Skill type bonus with an increased limit on the target score.

Stay tuned for the full patch notes when the update goes live. Rise of the Ronin is available on PS5. Check out our review here.
