Rise of the Tomb Raider PS4

As one of many games to feature PS4 Pro support when the console launches next week, Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration will include quite the suite of visual upgrades. In a new video, Crystal Dynamics’ chief tech officer Gary Snethen talks about how he worked with Nixxes Software to improve the visual experience.

Rise of the Tomb Raider will actually feature different modes to run at a variety of resolutions and frame rates. Running it at 4K will deliver 30 FPS while Enriched Visuals will run at 30 FPS and 1080p resolution but likely with much better enhancements (like tessellation, anisotropic filtering, additional dynamic foliage and whatnot). Then there’s High Frame Rate Mode which delivers 60 FPS and 1080p resolution.

Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration has been available for the PS4 since October 11th and includes new content like the Blood Ties DLC and Lara’s Nightmare (which is also available for Xbox One and PC Season Pass owners).
