Rise of the Tomb Raider (11)

Square Enix showcased the first gameplay footage for Rise of the Tomb Raider at Microsoft’s E3 2015 conference and it offered a look at the game’s current gen production values. A follow-up video was released that shows Lara’s fate following the avalanche of the E3 reveal trailer.

In this gameplay video, we get a look at the combat and navigation mechanics as Lara travels from branch to branch, stalking the forest and hunting down her foes one by one. The crafting mechanics are also seen as Lara constructs a rudimentary bow and special poison cloud arrows to defend herself.

Rise of the Tomb Raider releases on November 10th for the Xbox One and Xbox 360. The former is being handled by Crystal Dynamics while the latter will be developed by Nixxes Software. Crystal Dynamics has already assured everyone that the previous gen hardware won’t hold back the Xbox One version. Stay tuned in the coming months for more gameplay.
