Xbox has big plans for Gamescom 2025 with an extensive range of playable titles (including the long-awaited Hollow Knight: Silksong) and hands-on time with the ROG Xbox Ally and Ally X. Rumors have run rampant about prices and pre-orders opening in August, but Dealabs’ billbil-kun has narrowed the date down.
Pre-orders reportedly go live on August 20th, and they reaffirm the rumored prices of €599 for the ROG Xbox Ally and €899 for the Xbox Ally X. The release date hasn’t been confirmed, but this only lends further credence to reports of a late October launch.
For its part, Microsoft has only indicated that both handheld PCs will be available by this Holiday season. It’s hosting the first day of its Xbox @ Gamescom 2025 broadcast on August 20th at 6 AM PDT with a focus on the ROG Xbox Ally, so pre-orders could very well open by then.
