SaGa Emerald Beyond - Tsunanori Mido

Square Enix’s SaGa Emerald Beyond officially has a launch date, but that’s not all. New trailers highlight two of the six playable characters – Tsunanori Mido and Ameya Aisling. Check them out below.

Tsunanori resides in Miyako City, which is more old-fashioned and traditional. However, following the last great way, it’s overrun by supernatural happenings. With the power to wield animated puppets, he ventures to other worlds to find the elemental spirits and return order to Miyako City.

On the flip side is Yumeha Izumi, who can assume the role of a magical girl-style witch named Ameya Aisling. Venturing from Pulchra to Miyako City for her witchterm exams, she loses her powers and embarks on a journey to get them back (with her familiar LoLo tagging along). Compared to the shlocky Tsunanori, Ameya’s story feels more easygoing.

Will other characters also venture forth from Miyako City? We’ll find out in the coming weeks, so stay tuned. SaGa Emerald Beyond launches on April 25th, 2024, for PS4, PS5, iOS, Android, PC and Nintendo Switch.
