Volition’s next Saints Row title has finally been revealed and unlike the third and fourth games, it offers a more grounded story while rebooting the entire series. Set in Santo Ileso, which consists of numerous districts ruled by numerous powerful factions, it will be releasing next year for current and previous-gen consoles. However, on PC, it will be exclusive to the Epic Games Store at launch.
A spokesperson for Deep Silver confirmed this to PC Gamer recently. While it will be a timed exclusive, the overall period of exclusivity wasn’t disclosed. Based previous game launches on the storefront, this could range from six months to one year. It’s probably not the most surprising announcement – Saints Row: The Third Remastered launched exclusively for the Epic Games Store on May 22nd 2020 and didn’t come to Steam until a full year later.
Along with PC, Saints Row is also coming to Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4 and PS5 on February 22nd 2022. Stay tuned for more details and a proper gameplay reveal in the coming months.
