Volition’s next big open world adventure insanity, Saints Row IV has gone gold. All development on the game is complete and it will now begin the processing of manufacturing and shipping for its August 20th release date in North America (with an August 23rd release date for Europe).
Publisher Deep Silver has also announced that the Season Pass is now ready for pre-order. Retailing for $9.99, it will include two missions packs the exclusive “Rectifier” weapon, which is actually the reason for the game being refused certification in Australia. One of the mission packs will be “Enter Dominatrix”, only this will be a Director’s Cut version and “a tongue-in-cheek version” of what the game was originally meant look like.
Saints Row IV will follow the Third Street Saints as the leader ascends to the Presidency of the United States as the nation is attacked by aliens. It’s set to release for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
