Koei Tecmo and Omega Force’s Samurai Warriors 5 launched in Japan about a month ago, and today, the game has released in the rest of the world as well. A launch trailer has also been released, showing snippets of the musou action title’s gameplay, which you can check out below.
Koei Tecmo has billed Samurai Warriors 5 is a reimagining of the franchise. While it does, of course, retain the large-scale battles the series is known for, it revamps the formula in several other ways, featuring a new visual style, character designs, storyline, and more.
Samurai Warriors 5 is available now on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC, while a demo of the game is also available for anyone who wants to give it a test drive.
