This month will see the return of Samurai Warriors with the fifth entry in the mainline series. The game is an offshoot of the Warriors franchise that began with Dynasty Warriors, only tackling key historical figures and events from Japanese history, as opposed to Chinese. Those who were waiting for the game in Japan got an opportunity to try a demo not long ago, and now those in the west will also get a similar chance.
As announced on the official Twitter for both America and European branches of publisher Koei Tecmo, the west will get a demo next week. You’ll get a chance to play two stages as your choice of Hideyoshi Hashiba, No, Tokugawa Ieyasu, or Toshiie Maeda. It’s more than just a tryout, too, as your progress will be able to be transferred over to the main game once it launches.
Samurai Warriors 5 will release on July 27th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC, with the demo releasing across all those platforms on the 20th. For the all the information you’ll need to know about the game, you can check out 16 things about it before the demo and game launch.
The demo will be going live on 7/20 on Steam/PS4/Switch/Xbox One!
