Satisfactory

As one of the first exclusives to the Epic Games Store, Coffee Stain Studios’ Satisfactory is now available for Steam Early Access. The first person title is all about landing on an alien planet and building a giant factory to harness its resources. Check out the trailer below to see how it works.

The early access version boasts various alien creatures to tussle with, seven tiers of milestones that will unlock new resources, vehicles and equipment, and four different biomes to start in. You also have a variety of vehicles, weapons and equipment to mess about with, along with managing pipes to transport fluids or harnessing nuclear power. It also has support for multiplayer though this is described as still being in a “bit funky state”.

Many more features will be coming to the game such as the remaining tiers and milestones (which means more machines, resources and vehicles), a full narrative and support for dedicated servers. There will also be mod support, more optimization and further iteration on exploration, landmarks and rewards. Satisfactory will be in early access “for at least one year, could be longer” since Coffee Stain wants to continue working on it for “years to come.”
