Bandai Namco didn’t bring Elden Ring to The Game Awards but it did have a new trailer and release window for Scarlet Nexus. The hack and slash title will be releasing in Summer 2021 for previous and current gen platforms. In the meantime, we get some more snazzy gameplay – check it out below.

Set in the distant future with the advent of psychic powers, humanity faces off against mutant foes called the Others. Why they feast on brains is unknown but they can only be damaged with psychic abilities, which leads to the Other Suppression Force or OSF battling them. Two characters – Yuito and Kasane – are playable though the story connects them together in certain ways.

Along with two protagonists, Scarlet Nexus also has different allies whose abilities can be used in unique ways. The game is currently in development for Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC. Stay tuned for more details in the coming months and hopefully more gameplay footage.
