Bandai Namco’s newest demo for Scarlet Nexus, the “Story Demo”, is now available to play. Unlike the very first demo for the hack and slash title, the new Story Demo allows for playing all the way up to Phase 2 of the story. Both Yuito and Kasane are playable so experiencing both sides of the story offers a hefty amount of free content.

Bandai Namco does note that some elements in the Story Demo are “restricted, and differ slightly from the full retail version.” You can carry your save data over into the full game and continue progressing along with unlocking bonus content. However, those who have unlocked the content from playing the first demo won’t be able to do so again.

Steam players should also note that the first demo and the new Story Demo are contained in the same download. You can select either at startup. Scarlet Nexus is available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC, and recently crossed one million units in worldwide shipments and digital sales.
