Scorn

Ebb Software’s horror FPS Scorn has received some new gameplay footage, captured on Xbox Series X. It’s a work-in-progress build with performance and content subject to change. However, it should at least provide a good idea for the kind of world and gameplay that the studio is going for.

Much like Cyberdreams’ point and click adventure series Darkseed, Scorn is inspired by H. R. Giger’s works (with Zdzisław Beksiński also having an influence). It sees a strange human-like being traversing a grotesque world, which seems to be techno-organic in nature, in search of answers. The pistol and shotgun are seemingly showcased along with the various monstrosities that adorn the realm.

Announced way back in 2014, Scorn is currently slated to release in 2021 for Xbox Series X/S and PC. It will be a console exclusive for Xbox Series consoles and run in 4K/60 FPS. Stay tuned for more details – and potentially more disgustingly good gameplay footage – in the coming months.
