Sea of Solitude

Continuing its efforts to provide more support to smaller developers, Electronic Arts announced its next game under the EA Originals label. It’s called Sea of Solitude, and is developed by Jo-Mei Games. Check out the first trailer for game below.

The story sounds cliche – humans becoming too lonely and turning into monsters – but the treatment seems interesting. The protagonist is Kay and she finds herself turned into a monster. Eventually, she discovers other creatures in the ocean just like her. Over time, Kay will go on a journey and find a way to return to her human form. As a third person exploration title, Sea of Solitude features a very nice looking aesthetic and promises a story that everyone can relate to.

Unlike the recent Unravel 2, which is available now, Sea of Solitude will be releasing in early 2019 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. More information is coming from EA Play 2018, including the upcoming reveal for Bioware’s Anthem. Stay tuned for more details.
