Sea of Thieves launches early next year, and Microsoft and Rare are going all in on hyping up what is undoubtedly the most exciting looking Xbox One exclusive game on the horizon. This new video for the pirate themed shared world multiplayer adventure game, for example, showcases the various gameplay improvements made to the game since it entered its closed alpha testing stage.

The improvements include better weapons, which means directly improved gunplay and combat- slightly important for a game which has combat as an important part of the gameplay loop, after all. One of the most major changes that players will instantly observe is the ability to fire from the hip- you don’t have to aim down sights if you want to fire, anymore.

You can check out the video, narrated by Senior Designer Andrew Preston, for yourself below. Sea of Thieves will be available exclusively on the Xbox One, and on PCs running Windows 10, early next year.
