Sega’s new direction for the Sonic Series, exemplified by the upcoming Sonic Boom anime, as well as the game that goes with it (being developed exclusively for the Wii U and the 3DS), was pretty divisive when initially announced (as with literally any and everything Sonic), but maybe this news will help change your mind.
For starters, that right up there is a nine minute behind the scenes video for the upcoming game and the anime… but perhaps more importantly, Sega also took this opportunity to announce the English voice talent for Sonic and co. in Sonic Boom:

Sonic Boom is the third game that will be Nintendo exclusive in the series as part of an arrangement between Nintendo and Sega that was announced last year. The first two games that came from this arrangement were Sonic: Lost Worlds and Mario and Sonic at the Sochi Olympic Games. Let’s hope Sonic Boom is a much better game than those two.
