At the end of last year, we got quite a shock when Phil Spencer walked on the stage of The Game Awards 2019 and unveiled the Xbox Series X out of nowhere. Alongside it was also the unveiling of a much anticipated sequel, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2. The game got a stunning reveal trailer that was said to be in-engine and in real time. But, as is always the case, there was some doubt and skepticism about that. Well, it seems that Epic Games is sticking with it.
During the Unreal Fest Online, Epic gave several presentations about their engine, and during a slide about realistic human characters, the model from the trailer was there under “unmatched real-time character quality”, and the presenter even called it out for you to check out the trailer in question for a look. For those who doubted to begin with, it probably doesn’t mean much, but there you go. Of course, will this represent the actual in camera, in gameplay sections is anyone’s guess at this point. Thanks to Twitter user ReallyMilkkyWay for sharing this part of the talk.
