Shantae-Half-Genie-Hero

Those looking to get their belly dancing fix with WayForward’s Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse will need to wait a bit longer it seems. The 3DS platformer has been delayed into 2014.

According to Matt Bozon on Twitter, “Looking at sometime this winter for Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse. so December 21 – Mar 19 timeframe. A couple more months, I guess.”

The Pirate’s Curse will be the third game in the series and will release on the Nintendo eShop. You’ll be gathering Pirate Gear to lend different forms to Shantae, which all have their own and see beyond attacking enemies. You’ll be working to collect 30 shards of genie magic and look damn good while doing it.

Shantae will also be arriving on home consoles with Half Genie Hero. Stay tuned in the coming months for more details. Till then let us know what you about the delay of The Pirate’s Curse in the comments below.
