The Medium and Layers of Fear developer Bloober Team has announced a license and publishing agreement with Skybound Entertainment. It will develop a new title, codenamed R based on Skybound’s IP, with plans to launch in 2025.

Further details on the project weren’t provided, but this is one of many titles the Polish developer is tying up with an external company for. It’s working on a remake of Silent Hill 2 with Konami as the publisher and a new survival horror title published by Private Division (Take-Two Interactive’s label). The latter has yet to receive a release window or platforms. It’s also working on Project M with Draw Distance of Serial Cleaners fame.

Stay tuned for more details on codename R in the new year, along with updates on Silent Hill 2. Regarding the latter, Bloober Team said the project is “progressing smoothly and in accordance with our schedule.” Though it acknowledged anticipation for more news, it’s on Konami to provide updates. The psychological horror title is in development for PS5 and PC.
