Skull and Bones Gameplay Trailer Showcases Customization, Fortunes and More

Team up with other scurvy dogs and rob the oceans of their coin.

Ubisoft Singapore offered more information on Skull and Bones, confirming its location in the Indian Ocean and how pirates will battle empires, themselves and something else. Check it out below.

Skull and Bones has its world divided into different factors called Fortunes. These will indicate the quality of winds (more merchants but more competitors), for instance. Players have their own hideouts and can choose different ships, gear and crew when embarking on a hunt. You can even drop a flag to try and fool the opposition, surprising them with an attack.

The gameplay footage showcases how encounters play out. During combat, enemies have levels and damage numbers crop up when attacking. Though players will have each other to fight against, they can also team up together for hunts in a shared world environment. And yes, ramming enemy ships is possible.

Skull and Bones is still slated to release in Q1 2019 but players can sign up for a chance to play early.
