The Sniper Elite series has found more success than most people thought possible, and now 505 Games and Rebellion are gearing up for bringing multiplayer to the console versions of Sniper Elite V2.

CEO Jason Kingsley said, “Rebellion is very excited to release this multiplayer support for console. We have always believed in supporting and building our games’ communities as best we can.” He went on to say that this was their way of thanking gamers for their support, and staying tuned for the next Sniper Elite announcement.

505 Games NA president Ian Howe commented that, “There has been tremendous support for Sniper Elite V2 since we first announced our relationship with Rebellion and it’s really exciting to see that carry on through to release and beyond. As a thank you for that support, we’re very pleased to now be able to offer a full multi-player feature set, free of charge, to all of our fans on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.”

Players can expect the multi-player DLC to arrive later this year and will, bringing modes such as “Team Deathmatch”, “Deathmatch”, “Team Distance King” and “Distance King”.
